Nanomaterials:
A giant leap for healthcare

The story about the logo
Magnetic hyperthermia for cancer treatment is a new technique that uses alternating magnetic field to heat up the magnetic #nanoparticles, which are injected directly to the solid tumours. The heat kills cancer cells locally avoiding horrible systemic effects of chemotherapy and bad consequences of radiation and surgery.
We have made super heating nanoflowers, shown in the microscope image, and the logo is to signify the heat created with magnetic fields with different powers and frequencies. We are passionate in translating this research to the clinics and very excited to have a chance to showcase our research.
Guido Bolognesi and Nguyen T. K. Thanh had a great fun in creating this logo. You see the rainbow colours, that are also a symbol of international collaborations, interdisciplinarity and diversity of our research and researchers.
