This cover art depicts several sections of an outreach activity introducing school students to nanoparticles in biomedicine. Gold nanoparticles are synthesized for colorimetric sensing, while iron oxide nanoparticles are produced by co-precipitation. Students then use ferrofluids to visualize magnetic interactions when iron oxide nanoparticles encounter a magnetic field.
